Sunday Sentinels Terms of Service Effective: December 1, 2025

 

1. Services Sunday Sentinels connects college students with verified local mentors ("Sentinels") for weekly Sunday dinners, guidance, and emergency support.

 

2. Eligibility

• Students: Must be enrolled full-time at participating colleges

• Parents: Must be legal guardian with payment method

• Sentinels: 40+ years old, 6+ years local resident, clean background check, verified home

3. Payments • Monthly recurring charge $0–$400

• 20% platform fee

• No refunds for used services

• 7-day trial period (full refund)

4. Cancellation • 7 days notice required • Immediate termination for safety violations

• Pro-rated refund for unused weeks

5. Liability Waiver (Airbnb-Style) TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUNDAY SENTINELS, ITS AFFILIATES, AND SENTINELS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

• Emotional distress, academic performance, or personal decisions

• Injuries during normal meal preparation/consumption

• Property damage during emergency overnight stays

• ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES Platform provides $2M liability insurance. Parent assumes all other risks of guardianship relationship.

6. Background Checks • Sentinels undergo criminal, sex offender, and driving record checks

• Parents/Students undergo identity verification only

• Platform not responsible for omissions in background checks

7. Dispute Resolution

• Binding arbitration in Charleston, SC •

No class actions permitted

8. Governing Law South Carolina law applies By using Sunday Sentinels, you agree to these terms.
